will experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem.

I work in Southend and Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
The purpose of counselling is to offer a safe, calm place in which to explore
feelings and thoughts at difficult times of life, in order to learn new strategies
to cope with life’s storms in a more confident and resourceful way, tailoring my
approach to each individual client. This can mean looking at the past and
present situations, and any blocks preventing moving forward. This is resolved during the counselling process, in a way that is comfortable with the client.
I will neither advise you or try to take control, but support you on your path of self-discovery, to assist you to take back the power over your own life. As a counsellor I am non-judgemental, accept you unconditionally, and recognise that it may take the client some time to build up complete trust in the process and me.
Looking for a counsellor can be a daunting experience, and the best way to start is to book an initial consultation. This is to find out what your concerns in your life are and fully explain how counselling works, what you can expect and to help you feel comfortable with this gentle and reassuring process, and with the counsellor.
My primary training is in the Arts, but I changed my career path to become a Counsellor and have gained the following qualifications:
Certificate in Basic Counselling Skills up to level 3
Advanced Diploma in Counselling
Practitioner Diploma in Counselling Theory and Skills
